I used to like Byron Katie. Seems that the truth of all of these pseudo-psychologists is coming out and/or I’m waking the F up. 🧐 No, Katie, your Work has not aged well after the 4 years we’ve had and a pandemic that the POTUS refused to do anything about, even by acknowledging the deaths of so many of our loved ones. Just going back to a “feel good, everything is going to be OK” perspective does not actually make everything OK. We can’t make changes in the world or in our own lives without first facing hard truths. Would I ever use the power of my title as psychologist to tell a veteran with PTSD that the horror of what happened to them only exists in the way they see it in their own mind? That thought turns my stomach. And I know that some have already heard it and come to me re-traumatized by THAT experience.

Did she really say that the Jews being forced into gas chambers should have looked at the experience with excitement? I’m so horrified. If I have any of her books still on my shelf, they are going in the trash.
